A&G Clothing Store

Merchandise Mart management hired Kurzman Architecture to design the relocated A&G Clothing Store including a refreshing of their image. New graphics were designed to be displayed in their newly designed showroom to give a more sophisticated presents to this long-time clothier in the Mart. The interior design goal was to maximize inventory space while at the same time giving a more organized and open feel to the space. Relocating the cashwrap toward the entrance visible as you come into the store with a layout table directly across gives visual relief from the tightly organized inventory. New lighting with exposed high ceilings with high slat wall displays with shelving further enhances the spacious feeling despite the store being only 982 s.f. including rear storage areas. New custom millwork was designed to accommodate the cashwraps’ additional requirements of merchandising and rear coat wrapping, and the housing of printers and files and general storage. Double height hanging space at both demising walls further enhanced the inventory capacity without the crowded feeling of the previous store.
